Information Education Communication (IEC)

Information, Education and Communication (IEC) is effective tool to make the community aware about drinking water scenario, need for augmentation and conservation of water resources and impact of safe water on socio-economic education and health aspects. WASMO has adopted number of IEC tools to reach out to the people at all places, which include far-flung remote areas. Some of the strategies taken are as follows:

Interpersonal Meetings : Interpersonal Meetings : Professionals of WASMO and Implementation Support Agency (ISA) always remain in touch with the people so as to make them aware of the programme, its benefits and listening their difficulties and demands for addressing in a reasonable manner. Gram Sabhas, Falia meetings and Mahila meetings are arranged in addition to reaping benefits by obtaining opinion of village leaders and elders. School children, being the change agent, are the target groups to inculcate their habits at tender age on health, hygiene, safe water and sanitation.
